DRAKEFORD
Drakeford are a husband and wife singer-songwriter duo based in Nashville, TN. Made up of a Brit and an American, the world-traveling duo's music is folksy at heart with hints of pop throughout, with the finger-picking style being as clear and crisp as the vocal articulation. Whether it's an intimate performance of just the two of them, or a high energy show with their band, they manage to repeatedly deliver quality both in musical ingenuity and lyrical depth.
Their first full album, Anchors Aweigh, received outstanding reviews and took them on tour all over the United States and the UK, performing at festivals, Universities, houses, coffee shops and everything in between. Their melodies are memorable, and the harmonies hypnotic.
Their second studio album, The Venture, was released in 2018 and has more depth both lyrically and melodically than many artists achieve their whole career. They released four singles in 2019 and plan to continue releasing music in 2020.
Drakeford and Lucy-Jayne first met in 2011 in the small country of Kyrgyzstan, and later lived in the Near East for a few years, traveling and doing street performances with a musical group. They later moved back to the States where they got married, and started touring and doing music full time together as a folk/pop duo.
JORDAN LANG
Taking concepts from an array of genres, Jordan's original music revolves around one main theme: relationship with God. Jordan uses his creativity to bring a deep atmosphere to his music, drawing the listener in. Being a successful worship leader, Jordan can lead people well into the presence of God.
Jordan is based in Edinburgh, Scotland and has performed several times at Origin Scotland events.
MATT KIRKEGAARD
Matt grew up in a Christian family in Wyoming and started playing piano age six. He has a classical music background, with jazz influences, and sees himself as a storyteller with music as his medium. He has released two albums and is working on his third - a piano/cello album of original music. This is his first performance at an Origin event - he was introduced to us by our friends Drakeford, and we are excited to have him join us.
